David Pirkola

I don't know how many of you have heard the news, but David Pirkola, the owner and operator of the Apparitions Comics store in Michigan, was robbed at his store and shot by the robber. He's in stable but critical condition; Ifanboy has set up a paypal fund for him. I don't know him personally, but we're all in the same boat here, and I'd like to think that a little bit of chairty can go a long way. I'll be doing a piece of art to auction off also, so I'll post news about that when it's up.

(The scary thing about this is where insurance comes in- the majority of my friends don't have any health insurance and thinking that any accident could put us in the red for the rest of our life really worries me.)

PS. What kind of asshole would rob a comic book store?!
