Site History
I've been using the same basic template for the past few years on my website, and it's worked really well. All I have to do is change the "skin" each time I want to completely change my site and it looks totally new. Since I do all my code in Notepad (and it's probably full of holes) this makes things easier for me. So far I haven't found a format that's easier to maintain either, since everything is basically on one page. Simplicity is best I think, for websites. I'm just about done a new update that I'll put up tonight that's a little different, but for the best!
So here's to my site! A brief visual history:
Right now I'm working on a new site: My gallery will stay kinda the same, but the rest of the site will change. I'm learning Wordpress and CSS and all that good stuff, and it'll be more of a blog setup with my girls Melissa DeJesus and Hwan Cho. We've been working on it for a while and hopefully it will be up in time for NYCC!

Wondercon '08 and San Francisco
Vasilis and I got back from San Francisco this week. Besides the convention, we had a few extra days to putz around the city and be total tourists. I've been there several times but I've never really been able to take a few days to walk around and check things out.
Of course I dragged Vasilis to the Harbor Aquarium, which is small but has a great tube system where you walk through two gigantic tanks and sharks and stuff swimm over your head. Really cool.
We also got to go on the USS Pampanito, a WWII submarine. Both great harbor treats. They have an old battleship there too, but we skipped that and opted instead for...
The wax museum!! Which was totally lame but in an endearing sort of way. I've never seen the appeal of wax museums, we just did it cuz it was there I think. I did get to take a sweet picture with Moses though.
The Convention itself was a ton of fun, many thanks to the convention staff for inviting me out and being 100% awesome the whole time. I had my first solo panel which actually filled up a bit, I was surprised. I thought everyone would just skip my panel to see me and Brian's on Saturday, but not so! The hour kinda flew by, which was cool. I ran out of things to talk about halfway thorugh though, good thing people had questions lined up.
Saturday Brian and I made our big announcement about Demo 2, which may not have surprised anyone but still, it's good to finally be able to talk about it! I'm not sure when it will be out, but we'll probably have much more info about it this summer. In the meantime there's always the reprinting of the original Demo through Vertigo, which will be full-comic-size. If you haven't had a chance to check out Demo then this will be a good chance to :)
I'm glad I got to hang out with friends, I spent a lot of time chilling out with Brandon Graham, Corey Lewis, Brian Ewing and Kat Bret. We spent most of our time chilling. I got to meet Marian Churchland, who I've been hearing a lot about from Braindon and who's comics are amazing. Brandon, Marian, Vasilis and I also got to see National Treasure II as a special treat on Sunday night! Ohhhh I love those movies, I don't care how bad they might actually be, something about the adventureness of it all really makes me happy. And Nicholas Cage makes great faces. He made an amazing one in the middle of a car chase in this movie. Amazing!
Lastly, Kat and Brian drove us down to San Jose to see the Winchester Mystery House, which I thought would be a lot more mysterious. We had a super lame tour guide who (besides sounding like the dude from the B-52s) took all the wind out of the mysterious sales. The tour was supposed to be an hour but the guide almost ran through the house, making it a little over half an hour. So I was a little dissapointed, but a nice dinner made me forget about it and there I was all like, "I still love you Mystery House! I'll come back one day for the midnight tour!" Maybe one day...
.
So that was it! Good times, good food, good friends, and I met a lot of cool people as well, all things that make conventions a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who made this trip totally sweet.
