The Forrest!

Heeeey!!! I was in Maine for the Sunday at the first MeCaf, Maine Comics Arts Festival, held in Portland and put together by Rick Lowell and Casablanca Comics!! It was a great show, and it was only a day long! I wish I was able to walk around more, but I still had a lot of fun. I sat next to Kean Soo, who had a huge line of young kids looking for autographs and sketches! It was great to see such a diverse croud, but the only problem was a lot of them wanted to look at American Virgin too. "I want to look at the comic with the snake on the cover!" haha NOoooo don't look at that one XD Well thanks for everyone who came up, and everyone I met. It was a great show, I'm sure it will be bigger next year!!

So you might have noticed (or not...) that I haven't put up a new Comic Attack in a few weeks! WELLL I have been away from home for the last few mondays- I've been traveling so much! It's like a quest. This week I'm visiting my mom and sis in New Hampshire... I'm in the woods! It's really cool up here- literally, it's like 30 degrees tonight! Brr.

Since I'm in New Hampshire, I stopped in my old highschool (MHS) to speek at the advanced drawing class, it was cool. I got some handshakes from a boy with green hair, a boy with red hair, and a boy with amazing long hair. I tried to talk about facts and myths of being an artist, going to art college, and making a living, that kind of stuff. After that I bought my sis a birthday gift and then went to the Comic Store in Nashganistan, bought a new Uncanny X Men (I'm loving Fraction's run! Ross you gotta read it!!!)and the new Umbrella Academy. And some Avengers. :D

I PROMISE i'll start up with the Comic Attacks again next week! In the meantime here's other me stuff on the internet:
Myspace
Twitter
Facebook

And don't forget Buffy: Tales of the Vampire comes out in June!!! I'm a writer!!! WOO!!!

XD~ Also, my thoughts on Eurovision: congrats to Norway and Alexander Rybak!!! What a cutie (though he's no Sakis)!!! Haha Germany's pants were pretty shiny, and we all agree that those Roman dudes from the Ukraine worked really hard...

Thanks for coming up to Maine! It was great meeting you and hearing about your experiences at the panel. I wish that I had enough cash to spring for one of your screen prints, but maybe if you come back next year, my pockets may not be as empty.

Best,
Matt (Flash hoodie)
