Friday May 29th
I'll be at BookExpo America at the Javitz Center in NYC, signing at the Dark Horse Booth (#2759)
4:00 - 5:00
I'm pretty excited, I've never gone to a Book Expo, so I'm looking forward to walking around and checking it out. I just bought like 4 books a few weeks ago though, so I have to try to not get too many more books or else I'll never get around to reading them! But I love books! What a dilemma.
Wednesday June 3rd
I'm signing at Jim Hanley's Universe in NYC (4 West 33rd St, opposite The Empire State Building) for the release of the new Buffy one-shot: Tales of the Vampires!! Which I wrote!
Starts at 6:00.

The Forrest!
Heeeey!!! I was in Maine for the Sunday at the first MeCaf, Maine Comics Arts Festival, held in Portland and put together by Rick Lowell and Casablanca Comics!! It was a great show, and it was only a day long! I wish I was able to walk around more, but I still had a lot of fun. I sat next to Kean Soo, who had a huge line of young kids looking for autographs and sketches! It was great to see such a diverse croud, but the only problem was a lot of them wanted to look at American Virgin too. "I want to look at the comic with the snake on the cover!" haha NOoooo don't look at that one XD Well thanks for everyone who came up, and everyone I met. It was a great show, I'm sure it will be bigger next year!!
So you might have noticed (or not...) that I haven't put up a new Comic Attack in a few weeks! WELLL I have been away from home for the last few mondays- I've been traveling so much! It's like a quest. This week I'm visiting my mom and sis in New Hampshire... I'm in the woods! It's really cool up here- literally, it's like 30 degrees tonight! Brr.
Since I'm in New Hampshire, I stopped in my old highschool (MHS) to speek at the advanced drawing class, it was cool. I got some handshakes from a boy with green hair, a boy with red hair, and a boy with amazing long hair. I tried to talk about facts and myths of being an artist, going to art college, and making a living, that kind of stuff. After that I bought my sis a birthday gift and then went to the Comic Store in Nashganistan, bought a new Uncanny X Men (I'm loving Fraction's run! Ross you gotta read it!!!)and the new Umbrella Academy. And some Avengers. :D
I PROMISE i'll start up with the Comic Attacks again next week! In the meantime here's other me stuff on the internet:
Myspace
Twitter
Facebook
And don't forget Buffy: Tales of the Vampire comes out in June!!! I'm a writer!!! WOO!!!
XD~ Also, my thoughts on Eurovision: congrats to Norway and Alexander Rybak!!! What a cutie (though he's no Sakis)!!! Haha Germany's pants were pretty shiny, and we all agree that those Roman dudes from the Ukraine worked really hard...

Maine This weekend, TCAF last weekend!
I'll be at the Maine Comics Arts Festival this Sunday, the 17th, in Portland ME. So all you from New England better be there!! :D Kean Soo, creator of Jellaby is going, we apparently didn't hang out enough at TCAF!!!
Ooooh shit you guys, did you see that segue?! Hell yeah, TCAF!!! Super props to Christ Butcher for pulling it off yet again! It was a pretty last minute thing for me (got my ticket the week of the event). I car pooled with Ross Campbell, who just wrote a great entry on TCAF that I can't even begin to think of topping, and Ross already wrote about some of the insane adventures we had involving cars (cop chases, running over kids, meeting the Punisher) yeah it was pretty nuts!!! I even split my middle finger nail in half, right down the middle of the nail. And I still did sketches, I didn't just bitch it up like I was thinking about doing!!! I'm still slightly hoarse, which might be a combination of talking during the con, yelling at kareoke and trying to communicate at noisy bars.
I met some great people for the first time and saw many old friends. I still have to go through my swag, one day I will post about that!!!!! Shit I hve so much to write about, but I never have time- like right now, I'm off to the studio!!! I GOT COMICS TO DRAW YOU GUYS!!! I CAN'T KEEP SITTING AROUND TYPING ABOUT LAST WEEKEND!!!!!

Here's how Dark Horse describes the issue:
"In a small town in Massachusetts, a young man named Jacob goes about his day as usual -- wakes early, eats breakfast with his mom, and heads to school. He's a hard worker and a reliable friend to Alexia, an athletic and headstrong young woman. But at night Jacob likes to cut loose at the local arcade, where he's befriended a reckless gang of vampires who enjoy drinking his blood. Jacob craves the high and the easy escape from the monotony of his life that this 'bloodletting' provides. Enter the mysterious and sultry May, who can help Jacob leave those high-school days behind -- that is, if Alexia doesn't stop her first."

TCAF 2009
I know this is last minute- everything I do these days is last minute, haha! So I'll be at TCAF in Toronto again this year, so look for me I guess? I'm also on a panel.
Manga Around The World! International Perspectives on Manga
SATURDAY 11:30pm-12:30pm
Cartoonist and About.com Manga guide Deb Aoki hosts a panel of international manga creators from across the globe including Antoine Dodé (Armelle et Mon Oncle), Becky Cloonan (Demo), Eric Ko (UDON Entertainment), Bryan Lee O’Malley (Scott Pilgrim), Jason Thompson (Manga: The Complete Guide).
In the TCAF Gallery
I'm always on the Manga Panels! I'm not even sure what I'll talk about this time, I'm pretty out of the loop, but Deb Aoki is really knowledgable on the subject. I'll try to keep up...
That's it!!!

Linework was done with a brush, colors were done in photoshop. Phew.
